Generation Solicitations
The OfReg oversees competitive solicitations for firm generating capacity on Grand Cayman as outlined in Part IV of the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Licence granted to Caribbean Utilities Company, Ltd. (CUC) on April 3, 2008 . In the most recent generation solicitation, five bidders were qualified to compete against CUC. The press release and evaluation report explain the results.
