Peter Gough
Interim Chief Executive Officer
Peter Gough’s career spans over 32 years, in the Cayman Islands Civil Service majority of which has been spent in the public service managing organisations and developing and implementing policy in human resources and financial management. Latterly, focused on governance, public sector reform, learning and development and constitutional issues. He has held the posts of Budget Director, Deputy Financial Secretary, Deputy Head of the Civil Service, Strategic Advisor to the Deputy Governor and Leadership and Management Trainer at the Civil Service College.

Peter was responsible for setting up the Civil Service College in 2006 and overseeing its development until 2008in addition to setting up the Commissions Secretariat, Office of the Ombudsman and Conditional Release Board. He also served as Deputy Chairman of the Health Service Office for two years. Peter has written and introduced a number of laws pertaining to public sector reform including the Public Authorities Act, Public Management and Finance Act, and Public Service Management Act. Other laws include Procurement Act, Conditional Release Act, Public Complaints against the Police Act.
Peter has worked with a number of agencies internationally and in the Caribbean, including the Commonwealth Secretariat, the World Bank and the Caribbean Development Bank.
