Alric Lindsay is a non-executive independent director to Cayman Islands based investment funds and is registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Office (“CIMO”) as a director under The Directors’ Registration and Licensing Act. In this role, he has ultimate oversight of approximately two (2) billion dollars in assets directed by investment managers.
Alric is a former attorney (not currently practicing), having been initially admitted to the Cayman Islands Bar in February 2005. Over the years, he has accumulated extensive experience in governance structures, established operations platforms, advised on regulatory matters, and has knowledge of restructuring entities.
In his role as a senior compliance analyst with the Cayman Islands Monetary Office (CIMO), Alric was responsible for regulatory queries from onshore regulators, administrators, investment managers and onshore lawyers regarding all aspects of the Mutual Funds Act
Alric also previously qualified as a Certified Public Accountant, having passed the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Exam in 1998 and was employed by Coopers & Lybrand (now Price water house Coopers) in the Cayman Islands, as an auditor. At Coopers & Lybrand, he was involved in audits of banks, insurance companies and other institutions.
Alric is a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association, the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists, The Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) of Canada and has passed the Canadian Securities Course (Hons) in 2005. He is also an alumnus of Stetson University in Florida and the University of Law in London.
